Day of Service Lyon County – In Support of SOS Kansas
On January 5 volunteers in Emporia will be working with SOS Kansas. Volunteers will be moving and assembling furniture for a rest and reflection room for clients and staff. Help is needed to move and assemble the furniture to prepare the room and make a peaceful and welcoming space. SOS is a non-profit agency that seeks to empower and advocate for those affected by sexual or domestic violence, stalking, human trafficking, child abuse and neglect. SOS serves Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Morris, and Osage county through these SOS programs: Crisis Services, CASA of the Flint Hills, the Child Visitation and Exchange Center, and the Child Advocacy Center.
