In Kansas City, community members are organizing a food drive with Cross-Lines. Volunteers will participate by donating food and hygiene/household items to Cross-Lines Community Market. Cross-Lines provides direct assistance to at-risk families, the elderly, and single individuals struggling to make ends meet.The mission of Cross-Lines is to provide people in the Kansas City Area affected by poverty with services and opportunities that encourage self-confidence, meet the needs of today, and provide tools for future self-sufficiency. Community Market, where donations are accepted, is located behind the former church building and can be accessed directly from Coy St. or through the parking lot of the church building off Shawnee Ave.
